Properties of Amino acids contained in Botox

In Botox, the main active ingredient is an amino acid. Below is a description of the main amino acids:

ACETIC ACID (ÁCIDO ACÉTICO) :
Found in many plants, it easily combines with sodium, potassium, ammonium and other alkalis to form salts or acetates. They exist naturally in the juices of many vegetables. Acid and its salts are converted in the body into alkaline carbonates. While on the hair, it creates a film that hardens when heated, leaving the hair smooth, shiny and not frizzy for a certain time.

LACTIC ACID (ÁCIDO LÁTICO):
It is formed during the fermentation of milk sugar (lactose), when it turns sour. Fermentation of various sugars, starches and other substances, mainly in the presence of proteins, also produces lactic acid as a by-product. When heated, this acid fills the open spaces in the hair cuticles that often occur when damaged. It increases mass and thereby restructures the fiber by changing the ionic charge of its molecules, giving it a new shape and brilliance.

CITRIC ACID (ÁCIDO CÍTRICO):
Be aware that there is acid in these fruits: oranges, lemons, grapefruits, tangerines, pineapples, pomegranates, tomatoes, quince, currants, strawberries, raspberries, etc. In general, as an acid in combination with alkaline salts that form citrates, it causes renewal cells. TANNIC ACID (ÁCIDO TANINO):
These are plant-derived polyphenols extracted from seaweed. A powerful antioxidant (a molecule capable of inhibiting the action of other molecules) is naturally biodegradable. It acts on the capillary cortex through molecules, breaking the connecting bridges from the inside out of the hair. HYALURONIC ACID (ÁCIDO HIALURÔNICO):
In a pure and biotechnological form (with a reduced molecular weight) provides a hydration effect. The result of its high affinity with the water molecule, which allows it to absorb moisture from the environment and keep it constant. It balances the moisture level of the skin, retains water in the hair, allowing it to stay hydrated for much longer.

GLYCOLIC ACID (ÁCIDO GLICÓLICO):
Odorless, highly water-soluble crystalline solid derived from sugar cane. Active ability to reduce damage caused by heat treatment. Thus, it helps to strengthen the capillary structure, preventing breakage, with a plus: a great effect, more in line with constant use.
